About my Painting

Suspended Between Petals captures a fleeting moment of stillness within motion—a hummingbird hovering mid-air as color, gesture, and instinct converge. Created with watercolor and charcoal, the work balances softness and structure, allowing pigment to bleed and lines to suggest movement rather than define it.

The bird is not rendered as a subject to be studied, but as a presence to be felt—hovering between intention and instinct, bloom and breath. Loose charcoal marks trace the rhythm of flight, while layered washes create an atmosphere of warmth, light, and impermanence.

This piece invites the viewer to pause inside a moment that normally passes unseen.
